"Herkimer Diamonds" is the name given to the double terminated quartz crystals found in Herkimer County, New York and surrounding areas.
The geologic history of these crystals began about 500 million years ago and are very rare which is part of what makes Herkimer Diamonds such an amazing creation of nature.
The lockets water resistant screw type closure means the gemstones are secure and there is no risk of accidental opening. Simply twist both sides in opposite direction to open the locket and add your own special items.
